Paula and Jim wanted a unique home, one that represented their love of the traditional Tuscan life. They began by finding the perfect location in northern Idaho. Their plot includes a fairly steep grade down to a picture perfect view of a beautifully maintained horse ranch complete with whitewashed fences, a huge man made pond, and Kentucky green pastures, all framed by rolling hills covered in birch and fir trees. |
After much research, Paula found compatible ways to control the erosion factor of their land while keeping within her "green construction" plan and their Tuscan theme. A lot of natural fiber erosion fabric kept things in place, while grasses and flower seeds added texture, color, and an ever-changing view from their home. |
