We heard about UBuildIt from some friends who had used them and had a positive experience. Their initial quote was much less than other builders we had bids from so this was an easy decision for us in the end so we could get more home for our money. The hardest part was managing the whole budget as prices of things can vary and also deciding where to put the money to get the best value. The best part was watching our plans and hard work come together to now be in the home that we designed and dreamed of. We also liked being able to work directly with the subs to get the jobs done exactly how we wanted them. We decided to spend a lot of time on this project to save money so we took on tasks such as interior painting, site cleanup, and even some of the exterior grading. We also checked on the site and the subs multiple times per week throughout the build process to ensure everything was going well. I would say we averaged at least 10-15 hours per week working on the house. Our instant equity from using UBuildIt was around $80,000-$90,000. This was very exciting to see after all of our hard work! I believe we saved at least $40,000-$50,000 through using UBuildIt when all was said and done. Overall, we were extremely pleased working with UBuildIt as they were very knowledgeable and connected us to some great subcontractors that we would have never found without them. Scott, Thomas, and Ron had a personal interest throughout the build and were willing to help however possible. We are very thankful for this company and are glad to say we are now getting settled into our new home! We were also very pleased with the pace of the project as we broke ground in February of 2020 and were living in the new home by December 1st, 2020, even while doing so through a global pandemic!
