As you can see from the pictures above, we worked carefully to ensure that the Craftsman style of the home was respected. We re-sided and re-roofed the exterior, but ensured that the character of the house remained intact and that it still fit in with its classic neighborhood. We also landscaped the property and leveled the lot, making it much more accessible for visitors. And, if you think the outside looks good, you should really see the inside. That's where the real magic happened. UBuildIt completely redid the main floor of the house, remodeling the entire kitchen (adding a large, gorgeous island and all-new fixtures) and creating a covered porch and room addition in the rear of the home. Glass French doors separate the kitchen from the covered porch, inviting an inside-outside dining and living experience, especially with the addition of a barbecue area. The second floor is even more dramatically changed than the ground floor: we expanded the area and also knocked down walls (new radius hall) to create a smoother, more contemporary floor plan with larger dormers and a much-improved master suite (now with a separate tub and a glassed walk-in shower!). We also completely refinished and redid the basement! This whole project took about six months to complete, which is a truly incredible timetable for a such a dramatic remodel.
