Steve Byrd – Managing Partner
Steve has been building and remodeling custom homes in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area since 1978.  He has built a reputation for quality and integrity.  Steve first became interested in UBuildIt when he saw the need for a company whose sole purpose was to guide others through the construction process.  However, according to Steve there is more to guiding than simply pointing the way.  Steve says, “Our client’s success and satisfaction is our number one priority.  Our goal is to create an environment where our clients never have to wonder about the next step.   By guiding our clients with the UBuildIt process and utilizing our experience as a resource, they will not only be successful, but create the home of their dreams”.

Scott Pettinger – Planning Consultant/Partner
Scott has worked in the construction industry for 15 years as a supplier, project manager and superintendent.  His background gives him a thorough understanding of the building process both as a UBuildIt Planning Consultant and as an owner/builder himself.  “I want to get to know the clients and find out what their goals are”, says Scott.  “I want to make sure that their expectations match reality, so they understand the costs and the time commitment these projects require.  Talking through these issues lets me share my expertise and also allows the owner/builder to be well prepared for the challenges and the rewards to come”.

Patrick Kil – Construction Consultant
Pat’s 35 years of construction experience brings a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to our UBuildIt clients.  In the past, Pat has worked as a superintendent for a custom homebuilder, built homes for himself and has even run his own specialty subcontracting company.  Pat strives to not only be well versed in all phases of construction but works to be a clear communicator.  “All of my construction experience means nothing if I’m not able to effectively communicate and coach our clients in all aspects of their project. I help them wade through the technical terms and industry jargon so they can focus on making informed decisions”, says Pat.  Pat views his role to UBuildIt owner/builders as a technical advisor and someone who can stand by their side as an advocate during the construction project.

Ruth Bidewell – Office Manager
Ruth brings years of experience in management and sales to the UBuildIt-Albuquerque North front office.  She keeps the office running smoothly by being detail oriented and focused on serving the UBuildIt clients and staff in numerous ways.  Ruth says, “My role in this process is to maintain continual communication with our owner/builders, subcontractors and suppliers.  Everyone involved in these projects needs to be on the same page and I enjoy assisting our clients in making sure this occurs”.  The UBuildIt-Albuquerque North office is a pleasant place because of Ruth’s skills, warmth and kindness.
