Randy Tutor and partner Robert Skinner, a licensed general contractor who has more than 20 years of home building experience, said that UBuildIt provides consulting services to owners who would like to have expert help available while maintaining control of their own home building or remodeling projects. Randy Tutor said by investing an average of one and a half hours per day, homeowners can get more home for their money and they do not have to know anything about construction. UBuildIt provides the experience, systems and connections with quality subcontractors and suppliers and the nation’s leading construction lenders to not only save the owner-builder money, but to minimize their time spent in the management of the project.
Robb Skinner said the average customer does not need to know anything about construction because UBuildIt provides the expertise. The company provides a detailed manual and audiotapes that walk the owner-builder through the project from A to Z, reviewing with them what needs to be done each day. A UBuildIt consultant visits the site periodically and conducts reviews with the homeowner to help the project stay on time; on budget and review the workmanship. Randall H. Tutor - Owner/Partner, UBuildIt-Escondido
Randy Tutor is responsible for the administrative, sales and marketing for UBuildIt’s Escondido office. Prior to establishing UBuildIt’s first office in Southern California in January 2004, Tutor started and eventually served as vice president for Redwood Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Consolidated Freightways, Inc. with headquarters in Vancouver, WA. While there, he was responsible for the third-party logistics company’s US and Mexico operations, including the management of more than 500 employees and 1.5 million square feet of distribution and transportation operations located in the US and Mexico for the company. Redwood Systems, which had annual sales ranging from $20 to $30 million, had a roster of industry leading customers that included Philips Electronics, Cisco Systems, Circuit City, Sony, United Airlines, Lucent Technologies, IBM and American Airlines.
Tutor began his business career in 1975 with Mid-America Distribution Centers/Federal Compress & Warehouse Company in Memphis, TN and later joined Rockwell International, eventually serving as its distribution center manager in Reno, NV. He also served as operations manager for Hilti Fastening Systems in Tulsa, OK. Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Tutor attended Memphis State University and the University of Nevada, Reno. He is a resident of Murrieta, CA.
Robert Skinner - Owner/Partner, UBuildIt-Escondido
Robert Skinner is responsible for the construction consulting services for UBuildIt-Escondido, Temecula and Riverside Offices. A licensed California General Contractor, Robb Skinner has over 20 years experience in the home building industry throughout Southern California. Prior to establishing UBuildIt’s first Office in Southern California in February of 2004, Skinner served as a superintendent with Griffin Industries, superintendent with Granite Homes and he was with Warmington Homes for 6 years. Skinners’ experienceincludes the construction of over 300 homes and numerous other construction projects. Since starting a UBuildIt office in 2004, Robb Skinner has completed well over 70 custom UBuildIt projects.
Dan Peled - Construction Consultant
A licensed California general contractor, Peled has more than 30 years experience in the residential and commercial construction. Prior to joining UBuildIt, Peled was owner of Peled Consultants and Construction Company in Del Mar for more than 12 years. Peled’s company provided residential and commercial new construction and remodeling services as well as project and construction management services to customers throughout San Diego County. The company built and remodeled homes throughout San Diego County. Previously, he was a construction director with Goldrich & Krest in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for the construction of a $100 million, luxury high-rise condominium project in Westwood.
Paul Cameron - Construction Consultant
Paul Cameron brings to UBuildIt more than thirty years of planning, building and construction experience as a general contractor in both the residential and commercial fields. Until recently a superintendent for one of San Diego’s top five remodeling companies, his knowledge of all aspects of construction from site selection and planning, through permits and inspections to finishing details provides clients with confidence and assurance of a well planned and executed project. His attention to a client’s project, its limitations and scope and the client’s desires are met with practical and timely solutions endorsing his outstanding reputation as an UBuildIt consultant.
Kyle Tiedeman - Bidding and Subcontractor Relations
Kyle Tiedeman as head of our Bidding and Subcontractor Relations Department helps the owner-builder to find quality subcontractors and suppliers who meet our high standards of craftsmanship and quality. He ensures all subcontractors are licensed and in compliance with state laws requirements and mandated insurance coverage’s. As part of the UBuildIt team, he will work with you and your consultant to ensure multiple bids are received for all phases of your project. Kyle will also ensure bids are accurate and detailed thus eliminating incomplete bids. He will also advise on new products, services, and suppliers.
Clint Wear - Planning Consultant
Clint Wear brings over 28 years of banking knowledge to the UBuildIt team. He has extensive experience working with people to achieve realistic goals.
Using his insight and listening to the client’s wishes, Clint helps the client understand how to achieve their goals.Whether it is a small addition, remodel or a custom home, Clint has been with our office since 2004 and uses his experience and the tools offered by UBuildIt to enable the client to build their dream project while maintaining realistic financial goals.Clint is the start of the clients experience to achieve the project of their dreams.
